They may not have enough floor space / tables in the boat!
The prize pool is mentioned above 80%
The free entry to max contributor stands for the highest game
The revised events have 2 free entries to the next higher event-Step system
Your other suggestions are well taken and will be reviewed
Thanks for your feedback Raj and keep posting!
Staggering it over a month wont work well - I dont think that most people are going to visit Goa every weekend - it will only work for locals.
I actually liked the previous schedule better.. One big event that you can plan travel for.. Now you have to plan a longer trip, and also pay casino entry fee on every day that you plan to play..
We are negoing with the casino reg discounting entrance fees for members. However, all depends on numbers and in this case on numbers of member participants.
Pranav, we could include one 50K tourney instead of the IPRT free tournament for points/ranking.
We could plan an IPRT league points tourney with boot-camp sometime early Oct. That will be a fully Free event only casino entrance to be paid.
Having a 50K tourney may interest a segment of the members.
Raj may have a point here.
What do you all say?
Thanks for your feedback about the event.
Look forward to your participation in the forum.
appreciate that.
We will surely review and try to incorporate.
Reg gift items/souvenirs, we are surely going to work on that too. Have contacted our HK affiliates and lets see what comes out. If we dont get it for this event then surely we will have it for the next event onwards.
What do you say if we have a 50K event instead of the IPRT league event which will be postponed.
Let me know.
Guys, we need to be on social networks, especially on Facebook. Can youll do something or suggest in that regards. Thanks.
so.. we have to let you win that day?

Re: Revised September 2009 schedule
A few questions:
1. What % of buyin goes towards prize pool?
2. Whats the prize on free roll?
3. What happened to freeroll getting entry into 50K buyin?
4. What happened to free entry to top post contributer on this site?
A few suggestions:
1. I think level period for each level should be proportionate to the buyin amount - so that people who paid more gets more play and less luck factor.
2. I think Level period change is rather drastic. 45 min levels in beginning and 15 minutes turbos when money really matters? Once it goes to half hour it shouldnt go down further in my opinion.
A few observations:
1. I dont know how you plan to end the tournie in 5 hours. First 5 levels themselves will take 3:45 hours not counting breaks in between.

Re: Revised September 2009 schedule
this is a much much better schedule than before. instead of one 50k tournament having various small tournaments will cater to everyone.. from the amateur to the professional to the fun player.
i understand the predicament of holding it in one consecutive week.. however, that might deter working professionals from coming for the whole week since they can't get time off from work.
Maybe stagger it over a month or so holding it over the weekend?

Re: Revised September 2009 schedule
people who dont have the capacity to play that one big event will miss out on a good poker opportunity if the buy in was 50k..
maybe jim can work something out with the casino regarding the casino entry fee. paying everyday for 7 days will be almost Rs. 10k for all the tournaments..

Re: Revised September 2009 schedule
hello Admin/Jim,
i feel this is the perfect idea. this is what i was discussing/posting beofre.
small levels can give exposure and then one can decide to go for high stakes. exposure in first few events is important. imagine how someone playing poker in his own friends circle at small stakes can enter a single tournament for 50000 for the first time.
this is encouraging, having a scope for everyone, interesting and will give a feel to new comers also.
In my opinion this in perfect.

i definitely agree with you that you should also have that 50k buy in tourney for the big players.
but now that you have got these small tournaments as well, there will be a lot more number of people. I'll email you my thoughts.. this might not be the right place.

Re: Revised September 2009 schedule
Hi Admin .. late to the discussion but here is my feedback.
The format seems good though keep in mind that most people would prefer a Thursday to Sunday schedule then a Monday to Sunday outing as pointed out already. Also can the initial tournament be slighly towards the evening as that will give more chance for people to join in after their journey.
I also assume the 10k & 15k starting chips are for higher tournaments which is even better and more appropriate as the 5k strting chip one is more of a turbo format.
The slabs can be better defined with more narrow gaps. This is important as you are only expecting an average of 75 players per tourney. So when you say "10 - 29 PLAYERS - 3 PLACES PAYOUTS 50%-30%-20% "...the ratio of payouts ranges from 30% to 10% and thats quite a drastic fluctuation. So would suggest have an interval of 10 OR 5 for these ranges and would suggest a flater payouts of 12-15% per range ...so as to get max particpation for present and future events.
As for Amrits point ..I think thats a good marketing oppurtunity for you . You could ship t-shirts or such accessories with IRPT inscribed on a cost to cost basis ? I am ready to buy some of the stuff and others could also confirm ? Would be great oppurtunity for you to market the Goa trip , poker and IRPT .

Hi Admin...tbh I havnt read your entire site , or know your marketing strategy and surely do not want you to be giving much weightage to my opinion . But for what it is worth and from whatever I have read on the IRPT page .....I would think there can be some merit in having the leagues as it will give you some good form of marketing & advertizement agenda. You could especially use it boot camps etc and in any market segment where you are trying to expose people to poker. Since you have anyways tied up with a online site ..think organising league events shouldnt really be to much of a hasle as well. Just my 2 cents

Just open a group on Facebook and we all can invite our friends to it..
Wont be right for one of us to open the group as all the official information has to flow from you.
As events are held, keep posting details about the events on facebook. I think thats going to be a big big marketing angle for you.
