Game Type - NL Texas Holdem
Day- Friday
Time of Day - 11 am
Buy in - 0 (FREE)
Admission fees - Casino enterance fees on actuals (includes food and drinks)
Awards - League Points and leaderboard rankings
Top Finisher gets a FREE entry to the 26 Sept 2009 Dusherra Special tournament where buy-in is Rs. 50000.

Maximum entrants - Restricted strictly to 200 players only on first come basis (advance registration)

Payout structure - Top 9 places will be paid

Misc. Information

We have negotiated special rates with hotels in Goa for our members. We will provide you the list of hotels and upon check-in you show your IPRT League ID to avail of the discounts.

someone at casino royale told me there are plans for some tournaments in aug.

how much will be the casino entry fee? IOW, do they even have an entry fee in offshore casinos?

As an example - the Casino Royale Goa has Rs. 1000 entrance fees on weekdays and Rs. 1500 on weekends. this includes a buffet and unlimited drinks.

Would it be possible to have satellites into the Sept 26 event if enough people are intrested . Also wondering if you could have a package for a Goa Accomodation + Satellite .That way particpants can play the satellite for the Sept 26 event and also have some fun while staying in Goa . We can also get friends to particpate in such a case ( if the entry isnt too high ) and I am sure your sponsors would be a willing help to contribute to such an event

This seems like an interesting idea and we will work on this.
Goa is indeed a beautiful and fun place.
For the hotel part we are negotiating discounts with hotels in Goa and are finalizing the list for our members.

As the total number of participants may vary the total prize pool cannot be determined. This is the total prize pool after expenses, fees, taxes etc, which will be paid out to the top 9 players in the ratio mentioned in the tournament details.

okay. so what ur basically saying is that out of Rs. 50000 buy in, only 70% (Rs. 35000) will be given to the prize winners which will be to the top 9 people.
so hypothetically, if 200 people play, that will be 1 crore total, out of which only 70 lakhs will be given as prize money to the top nine people and the rest goes to you...

i suggest you make it more than the top nine people like in the WSOP. they use a system to determine from what number people will be able to start winning.i think that system is available on their website.

I think 15% payout ( i.e. 30 people) is a proper ratio and will not be too wide spread. Also I assume if hotel arrangement is included in the 50k ..then no harm in allowing one more partner or friend to accompany if food expenses are not covered ?

ya i agree with u indian poker ace.. like the WSOP, it rewards the top 10-13% of players.

we all play teen patti at our house...and know its not legal but still know nothing is going to happen...isnt it
